Infant feeding

We deliver a blended offer of advice and support that helps all parents understand the benefits of breastfeeding and meet their infant feeding goals.

We also provide support to enable fathers, co-parents and carers to feel included and able to support their partner.

We will continue our work across all of our Children and Family Hubs, children’s centres and communities to develop our services so they are accredited with the UNICEF breastfeeding initiative. This will support pregnant women to recognise the importance of breastfeeding and early relationships for the health and wellbeing of their baby.

The services will also support parents and carers to have a close and loving relationship with their baby, and know why this is important.
