About drop-in sessions
Childminder drop-in sessions run weekly in Children's Centres and Children and Family Hubs across Hackney. They are facilitated by the Childminding Coordinator in each area.
Each childminder drop-in is unique and provide opportunities for children to meet with their peers, have fun and play together. They also provide access to a wide range of well-planned resources and activities to extend children’s play using both indoor and outdoor spaces.
We warmly welcome parents who are interested in finding out more about childminding or who are seeking to meet local childminders.
Regular drop-ins
Drop-ins are available at:
- Sebright Children’s Centre - Monday 10am to 12pm
- Clapton Park Children’s Centre - Wednesday 10am to 12pm
- Clapton Common Outdoor Group - Wednesday 10am to 12pm
- Anne Tayler Children and Family Hub - Thursday 10am to 11.45am
- Linden Children and Family Hub - Thursday 10am to 12pm
- One O’clock Club in Clissold Park - 2nd/4th Monday of the month 10am to 11.30am
Forest School Childminder drop-in
The Forest School drop-in is a popular session facilitated by Grace Opon at Clapton Park Children’s Centre. It takes place every other Wednesday and provides a unique opportunity for childminders and their children to access forest school provision.
Forest School is designed to provide rich opportunities for children to explore the natural environment whatever the weather. The drop-in takes place in a dedicated space adjacent to the children’s centre. Contact Grace Opon for further information.
